Regular Meeting

July 26, 2007

7:00 p.m.

1. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Brandon Rhodes.

2. The invocation was given by Mr. Cross.

3. The pledge of allegiance was observed.

4. Members present: Jerry Bishop, Todd Brown, Jeremy Casey and Brandon Rhodes. Members absent: Nelwyn Almand.

5. Minutes of June 20, 2007, meeting were approved as written.

6. There were no requests for audience with individuals or groups.

7. There were no resolutions to consider.

8. Reports were given by Mrs. Cross, Mr. Bradley, Mr. Cross and Superintendent McAfee.

9. New Business:

a. Financial statements for period ending June 30, 2007, were reviewed.

b. It was moved by Casey, seconded by Bishop, to approve payment of June warrants. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed.

c. It was moved by Brown, seconded by Bishop, to approve tuition agreement with Hope School District for 2007-08 school year. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed.

d. It was moved by Casey, seconded by Bishop, to go into executive session for purposes of discussing personnel. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed. It was moved by Casey, seconded by Bishop, to come out of executive session. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed. No action was taken during executive session. It was moved by Brown, seconded by Bishop, to approve employment of William Johnson, vocal music, for 2007-08 school year. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed. It was moved by Bishop, seconded by Brown, to approve low bid from Cross Farms, $2000.00, for leveling and sewer work on mobile homes. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed.

10. It was announced that the next board meeting will be August 30, 2007.

11. It was moved by Brown, seconded by Casey, to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.. Yeas 4, Nays 0. Motion passed.
